Established in 1948, Douglas Laing is a proudly independent, family owned Scotch Whisky business in its third generation. Over 70 years of heritage have helped us to refine our processes, and deliver Whisky that is consistently exceptional in its offering.

Abiding to the philosophy of presenting Whisky as the Distiller intended, we add nothing and take nothing away from our spirit, enabling Whisky lovers around the world to come as close as they possibly can to sampling a dram straight from the Cask. Non-colouring, non-chill filtration. 

Master Blender, Fred Laing, marries together the finest Single Malts to create six definitive tastes of Scotland in our Remarkable Regional Malts range. By blending our preferred Single Malts from each of Scotland’s Whisky regions, we truly create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts, capturing the imagination with a complex and powerful medley of flavours.

It all began in 2009 with Big Peat (Islay)! Then followed Scallywag in 2013 (Speyside), Timorous Beastie in 2014 (Highlands), Rock Island in 2015 (Islands), The Epicurean in 2016 (Lowlands), and finally The Gauldrons in 2017 (Campbeltown).

Aged for a minimum of ten or twelve years; Douglas Laing’s Remarkable Regional Malts Aged Range encompasses The Epicurean 12 YO, Timorous Beastie 10 YO, Scallywag 10 YO, Rock Island 10 YO and Big Peat 12 YO.
